Patient information

Patient policies.

Our policies set clear expectations about appointments, communication, medication management, financial responsibility, and your participation in care.

Appointments

Appointments are reserved specifically for each patient. Please cancel or reschedule before your scheduled appointment time. Patients arriving 15 minutes or more late may be required to reschedule. Missed appointments, and appointments cancelled after the scheduled start time, are subject to a $90 missed appointment fee.

Medication refills

Regular follow-up appointments are required to receive ongoing prescriptions. Please send refill requests to meds [at] avra-wellness.com. Requests submitted through pharmacies may not be processed.

Controlled medications

Controlled medications are prescribed only when clinically indicated and in accordance with applicable North Carolina and federal requirements. Additional monitoring and treatment agreements may apply.

Telehealth

Telehealth appointments use secure, HIPAA-compliant technology and are available when clinically appropriate. You must be physically located in a state where your provider is licensed at the time of your appointment.

Payment and insurance

Self-pay appointments are charged on the day of service, and a valid payment method is required to schedule or continue services. We can verify your insurance eligibility as a courtesy, but you remain responsible for understanding your benefits, including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

Forms and letters

Completion of forms and letters is billed at $25 per page. Charges exceeding $50 will be discussed in advance when reasonably possible.

Communication

Routine messages are generally returned within one business day, Monday through Thursday. Please do not use email or text for urgent or emergency concerns. Avra Wellness does not provide emergency services or 24-hour crisis coverage. In an emergency, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or call or text 988.
